FERMAT SCIENCE

(France)

The association Fermat Science aims to promote and popularize mathematics and science, heritage and culture through the character and work of the famous mathematician Pierre Fermat. By its actions of popularization, Fermat Science hopes to contribute to encouraging more young people (especially girls) to move toward scientific careers. It has been developing teaching tools, exhibitions, and organizes events and workshops for schools and general public. For each of the projects developed, a scientific council validates the tools.

 

Fermat Science has been growing continuously for several years. Through its multiple partnerships, it has, over the years, gained notoriety. Since 2014, exhibitions and educational kits created by the association circulate in the national territory and since the beginning of 2015 in some European countries.

Logopsycom

LOGOPSYCOM

Logopsycom is an education innovation centre that creates and uses alternative methods or tools (digital or not) to accompany schools, VET institutions, educational organizations, youngsters and parents. It was initially created as a care company, specialized on learning disorders, among youngsters, especially in “Dys” (Dyspraxia, Dysphasia, Dyslexia, etc.), also called Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) and therefore always works on the accessibility of content. In the last years, we have developed an expertise in ICT in order to be more effective for our public and to have the possibility to present serious material such as STEAM or languages in other, engaging ways.

GoINNO Institute

GoINNO Institute has been established in 2016, as a non-profit private organisation dedicated to science outreach and STEM education. GoINNO Institute’s goal is to increase the awareness of STEM importance and to excite the young generation to start loving science and maybe someday pursue their studies in STEM area. As it is expected that STEM oriented professionals will be highly desirable in the coming years, unemployment can be lowered, if more children decide to pursue STEM careers.One of the goals is also to increase the awareness of the general public that STEM is an important and interesting area linked to our future, as we heavily depend on STEM to improve our quality of life with innovations in science, technology and engineering.

CEPROF

(Portugal)

CEPROF stands for “Centros Escolares de Ensino Profissional”, which means “VET School Centres. It is an SME constituted in 1991 specifically for the creation of the Vocational School of Espinho (ESPE – Escola Profissional de Espinho). Together it indicates that within the three years of the duration of the VET trainings offered by ESPE, CEPROF has been able to transform standard students from low socio-economic backgrounds and consequently low digital literacy into national references in robotics. At the level of 3D Printing, CEPROF has several 3D printers, a Computer Numeric Control (CNC) machine for moulding in metal, and simulators, all for the open use of the trainees. The trainees are trained on the use of these machines and they can use them also after the regular classes, for the development of their projects. With this open access, CEPROF stimulates the innovation made by the trainees, which results in regular awards.

NARVA PÄHKLIMÄE GÜMNAASIUM

Located in the North-East of Estonia Narva Pähklimäe Gümnaasium provides both basic and upper secondary education. In 2018/2019 the school has 985 students and a well-established, hardworking and creative team of some 80 teachers. NPG has been using eKool, which is a school management system used in Estonia covering 90% of the nation’s school network connecting all the pupils, parents and teachers involved since 2003. The basic compulsory educational system in Estonia is the nine-year comprehensive school, for which school attendance is mandatory. Compulsory subjects are taught in two languages: Estonian and Russian. Language immersion programs in Estonian and English are implemented starting from the 1st grade. Elective courses are provided at all school levels on different topics depending on the needs of the students and future graduates’ plans. Electives: Economics, Informatics, extra classes in Biology, Mathematics, Social Studies, Start-ups, Creative Interior Design, German and English languages.

SOU Jane Sandanski Strumica

”Jane Sandanski”- Secondary Municipality School is situated in the central part of the town of Strumica. Our school was founded by the Municipality , dating back on the 05.02.1947 till today, ”Jane Sandanski” is achieving great success, following the changes of the time, obtaining visible results that make us proud of. As a secondary school with combined education (General and Vocational Economics) ,”Jane Sandanski” is registered as an independent legal subject . The school consists of 45 classes, with a total number of 1406 students, who follow the lectures in two shifts ,and total of 102 employed : 90 teachers ,1 principle, 2 shift managers, 1 school psychologist,1 school pedagogue,1 librarian. All employees are with an adequate higher education and have a great number of different certificates. It is a highly cadre potential that guaranties quality education. There are few students with disabilities, included with other students, due to school polices in our country. Most of the students are Macedonian, but there are few from other nationalities, Roma, Turkish, too. We have students from different social levels, almost one third travel every day from rural places of our municipality and wider. Our school is one of the highest ranked in my country concerning all type of subjects.
